This means in a 1,000 sq ft apartment in Ghaziabad, you end up paying Rs 1,500 per month as maintenance, while, for a flat of the same size, you may end up paying Rs 3,000-Rs 4,000 in Noida Extension.</span><br />

"We are now trying to negotiate with builders to bring down the rates. In the long term, maintenance charges are only going to go up, and most buyers may find it difficult to maintain the apartments," Gupta said.</span><br />
